Biography
Gary L. Francione is a Board of Governors Professor of Law at Rutgers University and Visiting Professor of Philosophy at the University of Lincoln (U.K.) He is also an Honorary Professor of Philosophy at the University of East Anglia (U.K). He has written a number of books and articles on animal ethics and has developed what is known as the Abolitionist Approach to Animal Rights. With his colleague Anna E. Charlton, he created and ran the Rutgers Animal Rights Law Clinic, the first of its kind anywhere. His most recent book is Why Veganism Matters: The Moral Value of Animals.
