Biography

Emeritus Professor Upali Samarajeewa was attached to the Department of Food Science & Technology, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. He was a Fulbright-Hays Senior Research Fellow and adjunct professor at the University of Gainesville, Florida, USA. He has published more than 200 research papers, book chapters, review articles, and scientific communication on food safety. He has worked in 35 countries as an international expert in food safety for UNIDO, FAO, WHO, Asian Development Bank, World Bank, and USAID projects.
