Dr. Bhupendra Das has completed his first Master’s in Environmental Science from Tribhuvan University, Nepal, and obtained a second Master’s degree in Environmental Technology from Teesside University, UK. He completed his PhD program in Environmental Science (Air Pollution) at Tribhuvan University, Nepal. Dr. Das has more than 15 years of experience at both national and international levels in the fields of climate change, air pollution, and renewable energy. Recently, he worked as a ‘Research Associate’ at the Institute for Advanced Sustainably Studies, IASS, Potsdam, Germany. He has also worked as an Environmental Projects Researcher at Middlesbrough Environment City, Middlesbrough, UK. Furthermore, his contributions can be found in various research works conducted by Nepal Energy and Environment Development Services (NEEDS); Central Department of Environmental Science, Tribhuvan University, Nepal; International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD); Clean Energy Nepal (CEN);  School of Environmental Science and Management (SchEMS), Pokhara University, Nepal; NAMI college (University of Northampton, UK); Integrated Development Society (IDS) Nepal; The University of Teesside, UK; The University of Tokyo; and Nepal Health Research Council. Moreover, he has almost 10 years of teaching experience at various colleges. Dr. Das has published over a dozen research articles in reputed journals, book chapters, and proceedings. Moreover, he has participated in the peer review at ‘Waste Management & Research: The Journal for a Sustainable Circular Economy, USA’, and ‘Global Status Report on Transport and Climate Change (TCC-GSR), 2020’. Dr. Das is also very active in social/national media. His research findings have been published in over two dozen online publications around the world. He received the “Young Scientist Award” in the International Scientist Awards on Engineering, Science, and Medicine, held at Coimbatore, India by VDGOOD Professional Association.
