Dental Practice Management during the covid -19 pandemic



The world health organization (WHO) on March 2020, has declared the novel COVİD – 19 outbreak a global pandemic (1). A surveillance system was implemented, and patients’ throat swabs were sent to laboratories for etiological analysis (2). With online search about COVİD – 19, Management of COVİD – 19 in dental practice in journals to retrieve clinical and experimental studies, case reports, and review articles by using keywords; COVİD – 19, dental office. İn this review article I’ve tried to find and know about COVİD – 19, the routes of transmission, dental practice management tips, and implications in dental medicine.

The COVİD -19 epidemic is an unexpected challenge for dental practitioners and will leave its make on clinical practice Management for the years to come. Dentists include experienced and young, will need to rethink their approaches to patient management from the lessons learned in this period of the pandemic.

Dr.Omid Panahi, Graduated from Centro Escolar University in 2013 in the field of Doctor of Dental Medicine(DMD), MSc in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Yeditepe University, Istanbul, Turkey. He did Master of Business administration Management (MBA) at the University of the People, California, USA.

He has published 8 books and more than 50 papers in reputed journals and has been serving as an editorial board member of ISI journals. His research areas include Regenerative Dentistry, Tissue bioengineering, and oral surgery..
