Dr. Paola Foladori’s initial experience in the field of Sanitary Engineering was during his master’s degree at the University of Trento, with a final thesis entitled “Biological treatment of landfill leachate in Sequencing Batch Reactors”. Then she moved to the study of biomass activity in wastewater treatment plants by using an advanced approach based on flow cytometry. Dr. Paola Foladori received his Ph.D. degree in 2002 from the Politecnico of Milano.
After her Ph.D., she continued to work on various research projects related to contamination of water and wastewater in general. He is involved in a broad range of interdisciplinary research. She is currently an Associate professor in Sanitary Engineering at the Department of Civil, Environmental and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Trento, Italy. She is the author or co-author of 8 books, including SLUDGE REDUCTION TECHNOLOGIES IN WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANTS (IWA Publishing, London, UK), co-inventor of 2 patents, and author of approximately 160 publications and conference proceedings papers.
