Dr. Uqbah Iqbal was born in the United States and emigrated to Malaysia at the age of six. Winning Second Place in the Malaysian Historical Essay Writing Competition 2013, he was the recipient of the Research University Fellowship Scheme from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, MyBrain 15 (Ph.D.) Postgraduate Scholarship Programme from Ministry of Education Malaysia, Graduate on Time Award and Outstanding Student Award from Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia as well as the Youngest Ph.D. in History Holder and the only Malaysian to achieve a Ph.D. in History in conjunction with the 43rd Convocation of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. His thesis abstract on www.thesisabstracts.com is in the 1st Place in the Top 10 Most Popular Thesis Abstracts. He’s authoring 64 books/ebooks, the top 5 are The Historical Development of Japanese Investment in Malaysia (1910-2003), The Historical Formation Idea of the Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere, Sejarah Penubuhan Malayan Union, The Historical Development of British Investment in Malaya Before the Second World War and The Historical Development of Japanese Investment in Malaysia 1971-1980. His 154 articles appeared in international and national journals, the top 5 are The History of the Look-To-The-East Idea in Malaya during the British Colonial Era, Sejarah Perkembangan Ekonomi Semenanjung Tanah Melayu Dan Sifat Ekonomi Masyarakat Melayu Era Pra-Kolonial, The Indispensable Guide for Expatriats: Holland Handbook, Glimpses of Our Merdeka and Opinion on SSKM and Sabah Country Myth. He’s joining the editorial board of 73 journals. In the process, he became a chief editor for SSRG International Journal of Economics and Management Studies; associate editor for Journal of Art and Social Sciences, International Journal of Humanities and Social Science Research, Journal of Hotel Management and Tourism Research, and Business, Management and Economics Research; Conference Organizing and Review Committee for International Conference on Emerging Trends in Business, Economics and Management in the United Arab Emirates; Organizing Committee for World Hospitality, Travel and Tourism Summit in the United Arab Emirates and lastly Program Committee for related conferences of AIRCC worldwide, International Conference on Arts and Humanities, International Conference on Social Sciences and Public Policy and International Conference on Social Sciences and Humanities in China. He’s also a reviewer for 173 journals and 10 book publishing companies/book websites.

Until now, he has published 248 publications as well as rated 1,240 submissions for WEBook, and reviewed 854 manuscripts for journals and conferences. Through his involvement as a reviewer with the Nonfiction Authors Association, 5 of his reviewed books received 2 Gold, 2 Silver, and 1 Bronze Awards. 33 Journals recognized him as one of the Best Social Scientists, Reviewer, Author, Editor, Reviewer Board Member, and Editorial Board Member and 13 of his articles get appreciation.
